Easter 2010

Easter was wonderful this year! We started on the Monday before Easter looking at the GAK Pictures of the last week of Christ's life and reading what happened. I really think it helped Grace understand the meaning of Easter and what the atonement and ressurection are. She looked forward to reading the stories everynight and helped us feel the spirit as a family. We did have some fun traditional Easter activities too! We colored eggs.

The Easter Bunny visited us on Friday night!
We went to an Easter Egg hunt put on by our friend the Davis's. This was so much fun, and just the right size for these little kids! It was freezing though!

Garett was so into the easter egg hunt! He loved putting the egg in his basket and running to find the next one.

Grace was so awesome at finding the eggs, she had a bucket full before the big kids came in. I told her she could keep 5 so she spent the rest of the hunt sneakily putting eggs into other people's baskets. I'm glad she was so willing to share!

Saturday afternoon Ben's parents put together a Passover Dinner. They did the lamb, the bitter herbs, the unleavened bread, and everything else! It was a fun experience, but the kids were hungry and crazy. It was also hard to read through the whole thing and wait to eat while the food was getting cold.
Easter morning we woke up to snow. Grace was thrilled and decided to go out and play in it!
We spent that day listening to Conference and thinking of Christ. We are so blessed to know that He lives! It was wonderful to listen to the Prophets testify of that on Easter.
