Red means Go????

Grace and I have had this discussion many times and it always ends in frustration.
Mom, "Hey Grace do you see that light up ahead? What color is it?"
Grace, "It's red!"
Mom, "Red means Stop and Green means Go"
Grace, "No Mommy, Green means Stop and Red means Go!"
Mommy, "No Gracie, Red means Stop!"
Gracie, "No, Red means Go!"
This continues on for another few minutes with me trying to explain why red can't mean go when all the other cars stop on red.....
I'm just glad she can't drive for 13 more years! Hopefully she'll learn the correct way by then.
P.S. My camera is supposed to come tomorrow!!!!!! Then I can actually post some pictures!

Garett Rolling

This is my first attempt at uploading a video on here. Sorry it's a little long, I have no idea how to edit. He's rolling like a pro though! Just watch until he rolls over.... Grace couldn't be shown up so she rolled over to and then sang to Garett.

My Baby has a Tooth!!!!

I can't even believe it! It cut through over the weekend and is sharp and coming through. Grace didn't get her first tooth until she was 8 months old so this is so different, Garett is only 41/2 months old.
P.S. Sorry for the lack of pictures, my camera was retired in Hawaii, but my new one is coming any day now!!!!

Too Much TV?.....maybe

Last night Ben and I were playing legos with Grace before bedtime. She was so excited and was talking non stop when she said "Movin and Groovin time". Ben looked at her and asked where that came from. I told him it had come from PBS, and she looked at him and said, "No, PBS Kids dot org." We couldn't stop laughing. This girl is so funny.
She is finally singing a lot of songs these days, filling in her own words when she doesn't know the right one. So as she sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star she says, "Up above the Word World sky...." Why wouldn't the stars be above Word World sky? It is one of her favorite shows!

Hawaii- Day 5

Friday morning we spent at the beach. There was a big storm coming in so we didn't even attempt to get in the water, but we enjoyed lounging on the beach!
As we were walking along the beach we saw a bunch of little crabs. Ben started poking at one with a plastic spoon we found, but he ran away into the water. Then he and Woodson cornered this little guy.
That afternoon we headed to an old whaling port called Lahaina. It had a really great boardwalk with tons of galleries and souvenier shops. That's just our thing! Ben and I love to walk through little shops and we found some souveniers for the kids. Along that same road they have a park that is taken up by one huge Banyan Tree. This thing is massive!
All of these trees you see are part of the same tree. As the branches grow out they have sprouts that grow down to support them. It was so cool!
We got some dinner in Lahaina and then headed into to the airport. It stared raining just as we were leaving Lahaina. Here is poor Woodson getting SOAKED by the storm while he filled the car with gas. I'm glad it was beautiful weather up to this point!
We made it on our flight home and we were so excited to see our kids. Being away really makes you appreciate them.... and makes you really appreciate the parents for taking care of them!
Thanks to Woodson and Jenny for planning such a great vacation! We had so much fun and can't wait to return someday!

Hawaii- Day 4

Beach Day! Our only plans for Thursday was to soak up as many rays as we could while having fun on the beach. Ben and I went for a little walk and are sitting on some rocks in this picture, we're pretty small.
We also tried out some boogie boarding. Ben got a few good rides and then came in so I wanted to try it out. Let's just say this is as good as it got. I got POUNDED by the waves! I was thrown into the ground, scraped my chin and staggered out of the ocean with my swimsuit falling off and sand in places that should never see sand. It was awful!
Woodson was great though! This is how I should have looked.... but I wasn't going anywhere near the water again after that experience.
That afternoon we were a little beached out so we drove around the west side of the Island to a blowhole! This was really cool. We got there just as the sun was setting so we ran down this hill down to the ocean so we could get some pictures.
We were only there a few minutes but as we were going to head up the hill Ben wanted to catch one last look at how it worked. So he stepped a little closer and BAM! He was hit by a lot of salt water. Poor guy, it was a little cold and he was soaked!
