Delicious!

Garett enjoying some Spaghetti!
So excited about making such a mess!
Why are some of my children's favorite foods the messiest?

Cousins

I had to take some pictures of the kids and their cousins while they were here!
This is Connor and Garett- happy little buddies.
Catie, Connor and Garett had so much fun exploring together!
The matchy girls. Grace just happened to have the same dress as Heather's girls and they all wore them on the same day!

We love and miss our cousins!

Our Pioneer Day

Since Heather's family was in town for the 24th of July we decided we needed to have some big plans. We ended up having a big Pioneer Party. We started off with a delicious breakfast and watched the Parade. It was fun to see all the floats we saw in person on the TV. Then the girls made Handkerchief Dolls and Spencer made a tin lantern. We then headed outside for some old fashioned Pioneer Games. We started with the Stick Pull.
I won this one with Heather....it was close though.
Ben totally won this round. In fact he was the clear winner of the day!
On to the 3-legged races.... Heather and Kurt were the clear Champions. Ben and I won in strength, but they got us in speed!
Our cute girls put together a marching band for us.
After lunch we headed over to Foam Days sponsored by the Lehi Fire Dept. This was a lot of fun!
Sydney-check out this girls tan!
Spencer doing Foam Angels. He was the only one I could get to lay down in it.
Here's the whole group. My brother Rob was the daring one who dove in and played with the kids. It was a bit messy but looked really fun!
After the Foam Fun we headed home for a short nap and then went back to Grandma's for some Icecream! We had to work for it though. Here is Ben shaking up his bags.

Grace and Abbie....I love her look "This had better be worth it mom."
The final product was delicious! Well...mostly. Some of the kids got a little ambitious in the adding of their ingredients but my vanilla was pretty good.

What a fun day we had celbrating with our family and remembering the Pioneers!

Lagoon

July 22nd was our family Lagoon Day sponsored by my Dad and Deb! I was so excited to go since last year I was pregnant. Ben had a training that day and couldn't come so I packed up the kids and headed up. We met up with the family and had tons of fun!
My Dad and especially Debbie were so great at taking the younger kids on the little rides so I was able to ride most of the big rides that we wanted to do! Thanks Dad and Deb!
Here's my Dad and Grace
Here I have to send out a special Thank You to Tommy and Jessica! They took Garett around in the stroller with them, and then after lunch took him home for a much needed nap! You guys are the best and made my day at Lagoon!
Grace rode all the rides at least once.
My dad and Grace on the train.
Grace is a little dare devil and wanted to ride every ride. She was disappointed when she wasn't tall enough and every time she saw a height sign she would go stand up as straight as she could and lean her head back like this. It was so funny!

To bad it didn't magically make her taller. Maybe next year she'll be tall enough to go on the Bat!

Days of 47 Float Preview

My Sister Heather came to visit in July for 3 weeks! It was so fun to have her here. The day she flew in we met her at the Days of 47 Float Preview. It was really fun to see them and all the big floats! The kids enjoyed the clowns who could make just about anything with a balloon.
Grace really like this float, or at least it was the only one she was willing to stand by.

I was amazed at some of the creativity of the floats and detail put into them.

The Fray Concert

On July 18th Ben and I went to The Fray concert with his boss, Jeremy. It was my very first "real" concert. (I've been to plenty Choir, Symphony, and classical concerts) I was pretty excited and we had such a fun time!
Jack's Mannequin played first and they were Awesome! I hadn't really heard them before but they were so fun to watch and I really liked their music.

We were sitting on the grass and a few songs in this little group of kids start dancing around going crazy. Before we knew it 5 kids turned into this.
Then this..... Body surfing and all. It was crazy! They ended up taking over this entire section next to us forcing out lots of people who were sitting there. Jack's Mannequin ended and everyone returned to their seat.
The Fray started and the audience wasn't quite as crazy but they were really fun to watch too!
Here we are at the end of the night. It took us an hour to get out of the parking lot, but it was a fun night and I couldn't have picked a better band for my "first"!

Spring Pictures

When Michelle was here in May we spent an afternoon taking pictures of the kids. She did a great job for how ornery they were. Thanks Shell!
