We invited some of our Singapore friends, who are here working, for a good ole' American BBQ at the end of July. I don't want to mess up anyone's names, so I'll let Ben fill you in on those later. Here's a funny story about their visit. It was kind of a crazy day for both Ben and I, Grace ended up having an ear infection so I had to take her to the Dr. right before the party was supposed to start. I was hoping for them all to be a little late, and thank goodness they were....but I wasn't planning on them being ~2 hours late! It was supposed to start at 6:00, by 7:00 we hadn't heard from them and then Ben gets this call.
"We can't find your house. We've been driving around forever and it's not here. What's your appartment number?"
Ben, "Appartment, what do you mean? It's right here in Lehi no more than 15 minutes from the site."
"Uh, you're in Lehi?"
Ben, "Yeah, where are you?"
"In Salt Lake!"
Can you imagine where we would be in Salt Lake? Probably the ghetto or something. We couldn't believe they were all the way up there. So they came back down to Lehi and our BBQ started just before 8:00pm. I was Starving by that point! And just so you know, Ben did email them all a Mapquest and directions to our house. They ended putting our address in the navigation system, but put in Salt Lake for the city! (Since they're from an island that is the Country, State and City there has been some confusion on city boundaries.) For Heaven Sakes, these people are engineers? We did end up having a great time and we're glad they made it!
